Neagari Style

The Neagari style, also called "exposed roots", represents the trees that have undergone events that have disrupted the plant, leaving it with bare or high-rooted roots.
This style therefore gives great importance to the radical apparatus, giving the plant a feeling of lightness: the plant appears to be "suspended" in mid-air.
Essentially, in this style the roots follow the trunk trend. In this case, as it usually done for the branches, it works with copper wires and pruning to set the right course of the roots.

It can be started from plants or prebonsai, better if already with a radical structure formed at the right point. The essences that best suit this style are the Ficus, the Rosehip, the Jasmine, sometimes also the Serissa.

It's a not very popular style, but it certainly has a scenic effect thanks to the visual "push" that bonsai gets upwards thanks to the esposed roots.
